Outreach is an action-oriented activity that provides practical support with the desire to be “salt and light” to the community and world. JAARS Youth Outreach Ministry seeks to offer students of all ages unique opportunities to invest in local, regional, and global communities.
A week of giving back to our local community. Typically taking place in the mornings during Spring Break, this service event is open to both middle and high school students.
A weekend of serving the Lord in the local community. The goal is to expose high school students to local ministries and empower them to get involved regularly on their own.
High school students spend a winter evening sorting Operation Christmas Child boxes at a local Samaritan’s Purse facility.
Missions and reaching out to the lost should be a natural result of maturing in our relationship with Jesus. He expects his disciples to go forth from their place of childhood and disciple others as they go!
We want our students to consider where they fit in that command to be part of God's mission. There are many organizations that excel at training and discipling young people in evangelism and overseas missions. We've curated a list of such organizations that we have had personal experience with and which we would advocate for you to consider as a way of exploring missions.
